IMS Heat Pumps is proud to promote the “Just One Tree Day” project, which aims to promote sustainable forestation around the world. IMS plants one tree for every heat pump we install, our Consumer Code HEIS also does the same, meaning that 2 trees are planted for every project we deliver. Trees are the primary method we have for removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Without planting more, we’ll not survive as a species. If cleaning the air we breathe wasn’t impressive enough, trees also filter our water, stabilise the soil, form complex ecosystems, supply us with medicine and create sustainable incomes. Renewable energy solutions including heat pumps are only part of the solution for a combined global eco solution. The planting of native trees in native regions as restoration projects forms part of the jigsaw along with eco-friendly renewable energy solutions.

Just One Tree is a non-profit organisation supporting reforestation projects around the world. They combat climate change through planting trees and in the process help provide training, agricultural education and sustainable incomes in poverty stricken areas. The objective is to simultaneously improve livelihoods whilst tackling the climate crisis.

A recent quote from EDF energy stated “Will an air source heat pump reduce my carbon footprint? Yes, air source heat pumps are far more environmentally friendly than traditional gas boilers. Installing a heat pump could cut your carbon emissions by more than 23 tonnes of CO2 over 10 years. That is the same as 30 return plane flights between Heathrow and Madrid.”
