We’ve been helping people create warmer, greener homes since 1997.

Now proudly part of the Hometree Group, we bring decades of experience in renewable heating and clean energy solutions. We cover everything from air source and ground source heat pumps to solar panels and battery storage systems.

Heat Pump Experience: 20 Years

Emma first came across heat pumps when working for a Business Development Consultancy, specialising in Environmentally friendly technologies, in Sheffield in 2001. Eco Heat Pumps Limited, one of the first UK based Heat Pump Company’s were her client in their early start-up phase and for whom she successfully won grant funding. Eco Heat Pumps Ltd was later sold to Danfoss Heat Pumps.

Previously Business Operations Manager and then Managing Director for another heat pump Company, Emma joined IMS Heat Pumps in 2019 and enjoys the day-to-day running of the family business.

In her spare time she makes slime with her youngest daughter and enjoys supporting the Mighty Blades!

With a Sales background in Medical Sales and FMCG Sales (whilst completing numerous self-build projects in her spare time) Suzanne was introduced to heat pumps in 2008 when she started with ECO Heat Pumps Ltd.

Suzanne continued working with Danfoss Heat Pumps when it was bought over, with the business model changing from Consumer Sales to Installer Sales. Suzanne then continued her passion for the industry with a move to NIBE UK.

In 2016 Suzanne joined many colleagues from the ECO days in another Company before moving with them to IMS Heat Pumps.

In her spare time she enjoys the trials & tribulations of married life with 3 children and 2 dogs.

Heat Pump Experience: 18 Years

Lee started in Heat Pumps working for ECO Heat Pumps in Sheffield. When they sold to Danfoss Heat Pumps he left to start his own Company Coefficient Renewable Heating Solutions, working closely with our very own Andrew Hubble, and specialising in large domestic ground source installations.

Lee is a fully qualified plumber with specialist training specifically in heat pump design and installation, he is our Technical Representative for our MCS accreditation.

In his spare time, Lee likes to play guitar and take his son Hadley to play football for his local team.

Heat Pump Experience: 17 Years

Arran is Alan and Diane’s oldest son and has been working for the family firm since his apprenticeship days. As well as being a fully qualified, time-served Plumbing and Heating Engineer, Arran has a range of specific qualifications in the installation and maintenance of heat pumps, as well Part L Energy Efficiency in Domestic Properties and the MCS MIS 3005 standards.

Arran leads the Scottish Engineering Team and works closely with our super sales manager Suzanne on the specification of a range of heat pumps.

In his spare time Arran likes to watch St. Johnstone F.C. get beaten at home with along with his Dad, Grandad and oldest son Archie.

Arran is drawn by his son Archie, aged 5 as his daughter Aila is too little to draw yet. Archie says:

Heat Pump Experience: 12 Years

Luke has previously work installing Ground and Air Source Heating systems, as well as owning his own business, and we welcome him to the team as our Senior Engineer from the Sheffield Office. A fully trained heating and plumbing engineer, with Level 3 Qualifications in Heat Pumps and Solar Thermal, Luke has also managed installation teams and trained Apprentices.

Louis and Luke have worked together before and, as we love a family and friends connection, we knew Luke would fit right in with our close-knit team.

In his spare time, Luke is a keen motorcyclist and enjoys boxing and mixed martial arts. As his nephew will attest – Luke kicks butt!

Heat Pump Experience: 10 Years

Kelly first got involved with heat pumps when she completed the accounts, payroll and general administration for her brother Lee’s business, Coefficient Renewable Heating Solutions, and is instrumental in the day-to-day running of IMS’s accounts, customer services and HR jobs.

Kelly has qualifications in Administration and Customer service and recently received some of the highest scores of her cohort in her recent AAT exams.

Kelly works closely with Emma in the Sheffield office to keep things running smoothly and always ensures we have snacks available.

In her spare time Kelly likes walking her dogs and doing home-based crafts; she always has the best Christmas cards.

Although Charlotte has not worked with Heat Pumps before, she has a wealth of experience as a project manager at a full service catering sales company, delivering projects for the likes of Costa and Premier Inn.

Charlotte has a strong background in customer service which is a core skill as we believe customer service is second to none.

When not project managing, Charlotte likes nothing better than developing properties! So she has hands on experience in the types of work our clients are undertaking at the same time as installing a Heat Pump, which is a great attribute to have.

Charlotte is also documenting the process of her renovation project on YouTube! She enjoys taking her dog to training at the weekend – working towards trials at some point. Charlotte is also very crafty as she makes her own home furnishings and holiday cards.

Heat Pump Experience: 4 Months

Steve has joined us as our Project Co-Ordinator for Scotland and although he has not worked in Heat Pumps before he has 20 years of experience in project co-ordination and customer service in the energy industry.

Steve enjoys playing golf in his free time and spending time with his kids; Summer, Kenzie and Josh. Steve is another one of our Celtic fans, much to the disappointment of others in the office!

Jeremy first became interested in renewables in 2002, researching wind, wave and tidal turbine technologies. He joined ECO Heat Pumps in 2007, and after the Danfoss take-over he managed regional sales accounts and the commercial heat pump division. In 2014 he teamed up with ECO Heat Pumps colleagues in a new venture, before moving to IMS in 2022.

Out of office hours, Jeremy enjoys canoeing and paddleboarding and trying to keep on top of the gardening.

John started working for IMS in 2006, and is a time served plumbing and heating engineer with a range of qualifications including F-Gas assessments, Part L Energy Efficiency in Domestic Heating and manufacturer specific heat pump training.

John and Arran have been friends since primary school and make for an impressive Engineering team in Scotland.

Prior to working with IMS, John worked for a number of local plumbing firms rising through the ranks from junior to senior positions completing all manner of domestic and small commercial plumbing and heating system installations.

John is a DIY enthusiast and enjoys walking with his wife and children Joe, Shay and Conor.

Dave has previously worked at another renewable energy installer company and joined us at IMS as one of our Heat Pump Engineers. Dave has a range of plumbing and renewable installer qualifications.

Louis had previously worked with Lee at another heat pump company and then worked with another local renewables firm, before joining us this year and we are glad to have him back in the fold.

Before working in heat pumps, Louis previously worked for a local plumbing company, before becoming a self-employed sub-contractor on larger plumbing installations.

Louis has a range of City & Guilds plumbing qualifications, refrigerant isolation safety skills and has completed manufacturer specific training in heat pump installation and servicing.

In his spare time Louis likes to go on holidays to far flung places, supports his local Mosborough football club and works out at the gym.

Heat Pump Experience: 18 Years

Dominic is well known to the IMS family, having previously worked at other installer companies we know and respect.

Dom brings with him excellent skills and qualifications. He has a degree in Mechanical and Computer Aided Engineering – handy for those CAD layouts – and is a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor. Over the years Dom has advanced product training combined with Renewable Energy Technology courses under his belt.

Aside from being super qualified, his past experience in both Technical Management and Technical Sales has covered every aspect of the design process; a key skill when providing our customers with a solution that works for them.

In his spare time you’ll find Dom on the slopes, in his allotment or volunteering as a guide for the Rivers Trust. When it comes down to it though, Arthur reckons he’s just a hilarious man who likes to wrestle!

Heat Pump Experience: 1 Year/A Lifetime

Ellen is the daughter of the UK Heat Pump guru Phil Moore, who’s company many of our IMS Staff worked for previously. Cut them in half and they have Heat Pumps right through them!

Ellen has business qualifications and experience in office administration, telephone and face to face sales from past positions.

Ellen is joining us to provide a variety of service and project co-ordination as well as sales and office administration – a true all-rounder where their ingrained knowledge of Heat Pumps will be well utilised.
