Our expert team can provide you with a heat distribution solution that’s a total heating system.

We can complement your heat pump with two main options.

Underfloor heating makes whole floor area act like a radiator. Heat pumps run at lower temperatures than traditional heating systems, and at lower flow temperatures. So, a larger surface area is required to deliver the required heat into the room.

Radiators also work efficiently with a heat pump system. They can operate with underfloor heating as a combined option.

Our experienced team will assess the suitability of the current radiators for use with a heat pump. They will ensure you heating system operates at maximum efficiency and minimum cost.

Further savings are made by optimising and integrating heat pump controls and underfloor heating.

You will have a single point of control for the whole heating system for your cosy, low-carbon home.

Underfloor heating

Underfloor heating involves running a series of pipes under the floor of a room.

This turns the whole floor into a kind of giant radiator. it works excellently with the lower flow temperatures of heat pump systems.

Your heat pump designer will need to ensure that the right amount of pipe at the right centres is specified.

With underfloor heating, you don’t need to position furniture and other interior items around radiators. So, it adds a sense of space to rooms.

Combined with a heat pump, it also helps you meet low energy legislation, aiding compliance with Part L Building Regulations.

Installing it creates less disruption if you are building a new home or having other works done, such as major renovations or extensions.

But it can still be retro-fitted into existing homes, too.

Radiators

Appropriately sized radiators are a good alternative to underfloor heating.

You can even combine both solutions, with underfloor heating on the ground floor and radiators on other floors.

It’s important that the radiators are carefully sized to ensure efficiency and avoid high running costs.

Will you need to change every radiator if you have a heat pump?

Well that depends.

A room-by-room heat loss assessment will determine the size of the radiator needed. Your existing radiator might be absolutely fine, or you might need a bigger one.

Our technical design team will review this and ensure recommend the most suitable radiators.
