A beautiful day for a service at our client’s stunning property in Lancashire. Service requirements are dependent on the type of heat pump installed. Air Source heat pumps may look like there is very little to maintain, but there are many things to check to ensure the heat pump performs optimally. For example, if the fan is free from any obstructions, check electrical supply connections, check water connections, heating system pressure checks and alarm log. Ground Source heat pumps have the addition of ground loops or bore holes that need checking as well. For example on the brine system, the particle filter and suitable anti-freeze protection, level vessel check, expansion vessel check and brine temperatures.
IMS provides all their clients with a comprehensive service & maintenance cover that’s super re-active when needed. Not only do we cover the heat pump, but we also look after any underfloor heating, radiators or ground loops we have installed as well as signing off the legally required unvented cylinder inspection. Our engineers are on hand to help monitor your system online where available and provide telephone support if required. A full one stop shop not only to direct domestic clients but also for our developer clients, long after they have sold the house and moved on, ensuring the NHBC guarantees are fulfilled.
To comply with manufacturer warranties you may require a service every one or two years. Heat pump systems require little ongoing maintenance compared to many other heating systems, with no combustible items to be worried about, however regular servicing means that they are as efficient as possible.
