It was great to hear about our client Tim winning this award at a development where IMS Heat Pumps installed Vaillant aroTherm + Units. Tim McGrath, director of CBuild has won a Local Authority Building Control Award (LABC) for the best small housing development 2021 for his development of three houses at Lyncroft, Perrotts Brook in Cirencester.  Cllr Juliet Layton, cabinet member for development management and licensing, said: “Many congratulations to Tim McGrath for winning this prestigious national award for a small development.”

This project has committed to ensuring the three new homes are carbon neutral and made using local materials and labour. Lyncroft House has achieved an Energy Performance Certificate rating 109/100 which combined with feed-in tariff scheme and renewable heat incentive mean there is no energy cost over the year.

aroTHERM air-to-water heat pumps generate heat for your home using energy from the air outside. The heat pump has output sizes for many types of property, with 5, 8, 11 and 15kW models available. For the best performance, your home should be well insulated and have a low heat loss. IMS Heat Pumps can carry out a full heat loss calculation to work out which model will suit your project to convert your home self build or renovation development to use an air-to-water heat pump system. For more information on the Award see: https://www.punchline-gloucester.com/articles/aanews/cotswolds-cirencester-cheltenham-developer-cbuild-wins-national-award-for-sustainable-homes-built
