On Monday 23rd June, representatives from IMS Heat Pumps attended the official opening of the Sheffield Energy Hub — a new city-centre resource designed to help residents and businesses cut energy bills and tackle climate change.

The Hub is the result of a voluntary collaboration between around 20 local organisations and individuals — including ourselves — and has been brought together in partnership with Sheffield Community Energy, South Yorkshire Climate Alliance, and Sheffield City Council.
Located on Cambridge Street, the Sheffield Energy Hub offers practical, free advice on:
- Home energy efficiency
- Retrofit grants and funding
- Renewable technologies
- Community energy projects and more
Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am–4pm, the Hub is a welcoming, accessible space where people can drop in to learn, get advice, and explore the steps they can take towards a lower-carbon future.
We’re excited to be actively involved at the Hub, offering guidance and education around heat pump technology. Whether you’re a homeowner curious about how heat pumps work or a business considering low-carbon heating solutions, we’re here to help.
“We’re proud to be supporting the Sheffield Energy Hub – a vital, practical step towards helping people take control of their energy choices. At IMS Heat Pumps, we believe that making the transition to cleaner, more efficient heating doesn’t have to be complicated or intimidating. The Hub will give people access to the information, materials, and confidence they need to move forward. It’s brilliant to see so many partners and businesses pulling together to make this happen.”
Emma Bohan, Managing Director, IMS Heat Pumps
Over the coming months, we’ll also be hosting events and mythbusting sessions at the Hub, helping to clarify how heat pumps work, what they cost, and how they can benefit your home or building. We’re also planning CPD sessions for architects and specifiers to support the wider adoption of renewable heating in new builds and retrofit projects.
We’re delighted to be part of this collaborative initiative and look forward to connecting with the Sheffield community through the Hub.
