IMS Heat Pumps is getting involved in the first National Heat Pump Week, taking place from 12–16 October 2026.

The week brings together installers, manufacturers and others working across the heat pump sector, with a programme of online events designed to share knowledge, practical experience and ideas from across the industry.

For IMS, which has been installing heat pumps since 1997, it’s also an opportunity to celebrate the people and skills behind good heat pump installations and share some of what we’ve learned from almost 30 years working with the technology.

Throughout the week we’ll be sharing some of our own installations and experiences, as well as getting involved in the wider industry conversation.

Heat pumps in installer businesses

Managing Director, Emma Bohan will join a panel of industry experts on Friday 16 October for ‘Heat Pumps in Installer Businesses’.

The session will look at the realities of bringing heat pumps into a heating business, sharing practical experiences from installers already working in the sector.

Emma will join Nathan Tranter of Abacus Energy Solutions, Dan White of Warmur and Paul Thorney of Wundasmart for the online discussion.

Celebrating great heat pump installations

We’ll also be taking part in #MyBestHeatPumpInstall, a National Heat Pump Week campaign celebrating the workmanship and skills of heat pump installers across the UK.

Choosing a single installation after almost 30 years might prove tricky, so keep an eye on our social channels during the week to see what the IMS team chooses.

Get involved

National Heat Pump Week includes 10 free online sessions across five days, covering topics from heat pump fundamentals and the Future Homes Standard to commercial heat pumps, customer conversations and the experiences of installers moving into the sector.
