Well, here we are again, the end of another year. Where does the time go? It feels like just yesterday we were battling through the soggy spring and now we’re digging out the big coats and stocking up on mince pies! As we wind down for Christmas, we just wanted to say a massive thank you for sticking with us this year.

Our 2024 in a Nutshell

This year’s been a belter, and we’re chuffed to share some of our highlights with you.

  • Launched our new website: We gave our online home a fresh look to make your journey to buying a heat pump easier.
  • Became a Which? Trusted Trader: We earned the Which? Trusted Trader endorsement, a sign of reputation and trust, helping consumers choose the right trader for them.
  • Sponsored Rising Stars: We’re thrilled to support karting prodigy Lily Charlton, and the Letham Tangies 2014 football team, encouraging young talent in sports.
  • Award-Winning Team: Our Scottish Installations Manager, Arran Donald, was crowned winner in the regional category for Scotland in the Heating Installer Awards 2024 and Heat Pump Engineers, Ben & Charlie Wyatt (also brothers!) scooped Gold and Silver in the ACR & Heat Pump Trainee awards!
  • Joined the Hometree Family: We became part of the Hometree group, enhancing our ability to offer eco-friendly installations and comprehensive home coverage.
  • Apprentice Recognition: Our apprentice heat pump engineer, Sean, secured 3rd place in the Renewable category at the SNIPEF SkillPLUMB Apprentice of the Year competition.
  • Farewell to Our Founder: We bid a fond farewell to Alan Donald, our founder, as he embarked on a well-earned retirement.
  • Founding Partner of Heat Pump Week: We proudly partnered with Heat Pump Week to advance the role of heat pumps in building a sustainable future

The Festive Break

Now, while we’re all for Christmas cheer, we know life doesn’t stop just because the tree is up and the Quality Street is out. So, if your heat pump decides to go on strike while the weather is doing its usual “freezing rain one minute, clear skies the next” routine, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered:

  • Self-Help Resources: On our Service page, you’ll find user guides and a few videos to help with the little hiccups.
  • Need a Hand?: Call and leave a message on 0114 327 0100 or 01738 827 244, email us at contact@imsheatpumps.co.uk, or fill in our form to report a fault and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible, according to the support schedule below.

Christmas Opening Hours & Technical Support

Here’s what our support schedule looks like this year:

  • Monday 23rd December – Limited service from 9:00am to 12:00pm – then we’re off to enjoy a well-earned mince pie (or three).
  • Tuesday 24th December – Thursday 2nd January – All calls will go to voicemail, but we’ll be monitoring them and calling you back. Emergency engineers are on standby for those without heating or hot water during working days. Please note there is no service operating on weekends or bank holidays.
  • Friday 3rd January – Full service resumes in our Sheffield office. The kettle will be on and the biscuits stocked!
  • onday 6th January – Our Perth office reopens, ready to tackle whatever 2025 throws at us.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at IMS Heat Pumps!
